Our Honkai Star Rail DPS tier list includes characters from the paths of The Hunt, who deal extraordinary amounts of single-target damage and Erudition, who deal remarkable amounts of multi-target damage.
Despite them falling more into the sub-DPS or enabler role due to their focus on debuffing enemies through DoTs and status ailments, we’ve also included characters who tread the path of Nihility here for the sake of brevity.

Who are the best Honkai Star Rail characters?
Here’s a little more information on the six characters who feature in the S-rank of our Honkai Star Rail tier list.
Clara
We recommend you use Honkai Star Rail’s Clara in a sub-tank and physical damage dealer role. With some handy counterattacks to dish out extra damage between turns and her ultimate that taunts enemies, she’s an asset to many teams.
Gepard
Honkai Star Rail’s Gepard is also a fantastic tank and sub-DPS character. His chilling ice attacks and ability to freeze enemies are super handy and his ultimate has a shield that protects him from harm.
Jing Yuan
The number one husbando for the Pocket Tactics team, Honkai Star Rail’s Jing Yuan is the best choice for a DPS character in your team. He’s easily the strongest multi-target DPS we’ve tried.
Luocha
Not only is Honkai Star Rail’s Luocha very handsome, but he’s also our first pick for support. His healing scales with his attack, he can deal some pretty good damage, and remove any buffs from foes.
Seele
Honkai Star Rail’s Seele is a fantastic DPS option who can deal loads of damage to a single target over a short period of time. We recommend you build her focusing on attack and crit.
