Two new Pokémon snacks heading to Japan
Any fan of Pokémon knows that Japan gets all the fun stuff. We see a tiny sliver of the various merch that Pokémon Co. releases, and that selection seems to grow smaller and smaller as Japan gets more goodies. Once again, Pokémon Co. has revealed two more items that are only going to release in Japan, and this time around they fall into the snack category.
First up is the Pure Gumi Pokemon Summer Pikachu & Piplup candies coming from Kanro. This is the second Pokémon candy line from Kanro, with the first being a standard Pikachu & Piplup Pure Gumi version. This time around, both Pikachu and Piplup are enjoying the summer, and the gummies themselves will also be shaped like Pikachu and Piplup. These are available now in Japan.
Next up is a collaboration between Pokémon Co. and Sanyo Foods for a new series of Pokémon-themed instant ramen. This line will launch in Japan on August 1st, 2022.
The collaboration has resulted in boxes of Sapporo Ichiban instant ramen noodles that feature various Pokémon, including a Soy Sauce flavor featuring Pikachu and Charizard, a Shio flavor featuring Pikachu and Lucario, a Miso flavor featuring Pikachu and Tyrannitar, and many more.
